About Carl Jensen, Ph.D.
Carl Jensen was the founding head of the Department of Intelligence and Security Studies at The Citadel. He served in the Navy for five years then enjoyed a 22-year career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a field agent, supervisory agent, and forensic examiner/cryptanalyst. Additionally, Jensen was the lead instructor for the FBI National Academy’s terrorism course for several years. He joined The Citadel in 2017. Jensen has authored and co-authored over 70 books, articles, book chapters, and reviews and earned numerous awards for research and as an educator. He retired from the Citadel in 2020.
