Environmental test facility - The Chamber - in this case set up for cold water testing using human subjects...the plastic mittens in this photo resemble those I was asked to evaluate while immersed in the tank during the NASA Orbital Entry full pressure suits cold water testing (1988 - 1989)...for the record, I bit thru the gloves while inflating them using lung power...the idea was that the additional air filled glove worn over the astronaut glove would offer more protection should the crew be forced to eject over the North Atlantic.
