Escape From WWII Ethnic Cleansing to Refugee Life to NADC Career

Schwabenlager Groedig, an abandoned WWI Russian POW camp of 7 barracks outside the town of Groedig, on the outskirts of Salzburg, Austria, served as a refugee camp for approximately 500+ individuals fleeing Yugoslavia at the end of WWII. This is the story of one of those refugees, who eventually immigrated to the United States with his mother in the early 1950s.

Franz Bohn went on to a successful career with the US Navy, including 37 as a Civil Servant, in various R&D, Engineering and Program Management positions at the Naval Air Development Center, in Warminster, PA. He was Program Manager fot several major NADC R&D programs, including P-3C Update III, TACAMO and JTIDS.
