Hidden Figures of the Cold War in Bucks County, PA

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our previously scheduled speaker for September is unable to deliver his presentation. But never fear-- we have another topic we are certain will be of interest! 

The breakout movie Hidden Figures (2016) tells the story of three African American women who worked as mathematicians at NASA. The story sheds light on the significant contributions of the three women—Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson—but also the broader impact that women had behind the scenes at NASA. *

Nevertheless-- did you know that southeastern Pennsylvania has its own "Hidden Figures"? Join Southeastern Pennsylvania Cold War Historical Society's President, Eleanor O'Rangers, for a discussion of remarkable women scientists, engineers and others who made significant contributions to the Cold War and Space Race!
