The lab really set the centrifuge up as a realistic airplane -- for whatever project they were doing. I was guinea pig to fly an F8 Crusader (obviously in the weather). Although I had flown trainer type jets, I was not F8-qualified. Nevertheless, they were happy to watch me go through all of the anti-spin methodology that we were trained to use. It was a long time ago. I was probably wired up so that the lab people could watch how my body reacted as I bounced around in the pseudo-ejection seat trying to stop the spinning. (I suspect that the lab had the centrifuge programmed to NOT recover from the spin.)
